ಮಾಸಗಳು, ಅಧಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷಯ ಮಾಸ

ಅನಾದಿ ಕಾಲಗಳಿಂದ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಧಿಷ್ಠವಾದ ಸಮಯ, ವಾರ, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಪಕ್ಷಗಳನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯಲು ಪಂಚಾಂಗವೆಂಬ ಕೈಪಿಡಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.ಈಗಲೂ ನಾವುಗಳು ಉಪಯೋಗಿ ಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಪಂಚಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಂದ್ರರ ಚಲನೆಗಳ ಆಧಾರದ ಮೇಲೆ ರಚಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಸುಮಾರು 4ನೇ ಶತಮಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದ “ಸೂರ್ಯ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ” ಎಂಬ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ಗ್ರಂಥವು ಗಣಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಖಗೋಲ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಅಧ್ಯಯನವನ್ನೊಳಗೊಂಡ ಪಂಚಾಂಗ ಮತ್ತು ಜ್ಯೊತಿಷ್ಯದ  ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿಕೊಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲೇ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಚಂದ್ರರ ಗ್ರಹಣಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಅರಿವಿತ್ತು.  “ಸೂರ್ಯ ಸಿದ್ಧಾಂತ”Continue reading “ಮಾಸಗಳು, ಅಧಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷಯ ಮಾಸ”
